Core Values

ACCOUNTABILITY | We have structured our assembly with Yeshua as our head and a plurality of elders underneath Him. The elders are accountable ultimately to the Word of God but also to one another for anything that is taught or any decisions that are made on behalf of the assembly. The term elder in the Bible carries the meaning of that of a shepherd and it is their responsibility to guard, serve, and feed the sheep in YHVH’s flock. We hold to the qualifications of elders that are set out in 1 Timothy 3:1-6 and Titus 1:6-9.
“Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; nor yet as Lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock.” 1 Pet 5:1-3

DISCIPLESHIP | Everything we do is undergirded by our Messiah’s command to go and make disciples, teaching them to obey ALL He has commanded (Matt 28:19-20). Discipleship begins first in our homes, then in our assembly and then outward beyond that to our individual spheres of influence.
“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

CULTURE OF MERCY | We strive to maintain an environment of mercy toward one another and a place where we “bear with one another” on the minor issues and differences of opinion so that we can walk in unity to the best of our ability. We are all at different places in our walk with Yeshua (Jesus) and so it is pertinent that divisive agendas will not be tolerated. (Colossians 3:12-15; Rom 12:18)
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.” Matt 5:7

UNITY NOT UNIFORMITY | We strive for unity in the Body as taught all throughout the Bible. In 1 Cor 12 the Body of Messiah is compared to the human body, which being One, is comprised of many parts. Unity does not mean uniformity and we recognize that every individual has different giftings, perspectives, personalities and expressions of worship. When the whole Body of Messiah works together – each part functioning in his or her purpose – the Body is strengthened and built up.
“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Ephesians 4:15-16

PEOPLE OVER PROGRAMS | We are committed to fiscal transparency and purpose to keep overhead as low as possible so that our resources can primarily be used to be a blessing to the orphan, widow and needy among us.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27
