SCRIPTURE|
We believe that the 66 books that comprise the Old Testament and the New Testament are the divinely inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of YHVH our God. Nothing has been set aside or done away with, as our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) makes very clear in Matthew 5:17-19
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
ONE GOD|
We believe that YHVH is One. We understand this “one” to be a composite unity as defined by the Hebrew word, “echad”. We understand that finite man cannot comprehend the infinite God. We understand that YHVH chose to reveal Himself to mankind in at least three manifestations: Father (YHVH), His Son (Yeshua/Jesus), and His Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh).
“Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!” Deut 6:4
MESSIAH|
We believe in the deity of Yeshua (Jesus) of Nazareth who was conceived by the Spirit in the virgin Miriam (Mary). He is the Messiah of Israel, the Savior of the world, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. He is the ultimate and final Passover Lamb required for the forgiveness and removal of our sins. He was crucified and rose from the dead three days and three nights later. Everyone who repents of their sins and trusts that Yeshua (Jesus) is Messiah, who died and rose again, is forgiven their sins and enters into the renewed covenant with YHVH through Yeshua’s (Jesus’) blood sacrifice. We therefore become inheritors of all the promises and covenants of YHVH (Romans 10:9-11; 1 Corinthians 5:7).
“For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11
SALVATION AND SANCTIFICATION|
We understand that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and need atonement and reconciliation to YHVH. (Rom 3:23). Salvation is a free gift of YHVH and cannot be earned by keeping the commandments. We keep the commandments (Torah) BECAUSE we have been redeemed and desire to walk as Yeshua (Jesus) walked (1 John 2) and to love Him in return (John 14:15). Salvation comes through repentance and confession of sin. This results in spiritual regeneration that leads to sanctification, which is what our Messiah prayed for us in John 17:17: “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”
“For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.” James 2:26
WATER BAPTISM|
We believe in water immersion of believers (Mikveh), as commanded by the Scriptures and as modeled for us by Yeshua (Jesus) in Matt 3:16. Baptism is an outward sign of our inward faith in YHVH’s salvation, Yeshua. Baptism symbolizes the death of the old man and the resurrection unto newness of life.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt 28:19-20
HOLY SPIRIT (RUACH HAKODESH)|
We believe in the present ministry of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12) as well as the infilling of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) of the believers. Through the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) the commandments (Torah) are written in our hearts and minds and enable us to live an obedient life as Messiah commanded (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:26-27). This in no way earns you salvation or merits with YHVH. It is because we are His people and love Him that we live according to His commandments.
“Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Yeshua (Jesus) Messiah for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 2:38
RESURRECTION|
We believe in the resurrection of both the believer and unbeliever. The redeemed to everlasting joy in the presence of YHVH and the lost to eternal damnation and separation from YHVH.
“Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth– those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” John 5:28-29
THE FEASTS OF THE LORD|
We keep the weekly seventh-day Sabbath as commanded in Scripture. We also keep the annual Feasts of YHVH as commanded in Scripture. These annual Feasts include: Passover, Unleavened Bread, FirstFruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles. All of these Feasts are found in Leviticus 23 :
“The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord’s appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—My appointed times are these:”
ISRAEL|
We agree with the apostle Paul that God is not through with the Jew as he says in Romans 11:25–29: “Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
Also in Ezekiel 20:33-44 it says:
“As I live declares the Lord God, surely with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out I will be king over you” and it closes with: “And you will know that I am the Lord, when I deal with you for my name’s sake”.
These verses speak of future events that will happen at the very end of all things and there are many, many more.
{Jer. 16:14-15; Jer 23:5-8; Jer 29: 11-14; Deut 30:1-10; Ezek 36:22-36}
It is clear from Scripture that God has a plan for Israel that will culminate at His second coming and millennial reign. That’s why we are commanded in Isaiah 62 to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” and to be watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem. We reject any form of replacement theology that espouses that physical Israel has been replaced in any way by spiritual Israel. The physical and the spiritual have always co-existed and YHVH has a very specific purpose for physical Israel which includes all 12 tribes of Israel and the physical land of Israel.
“Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.” 2 Chron 7:15-16. The Creator of the earth is talking to Soloman here after the temple has been completed and dedicated. There is only one place on earth that YHVH says this about. YHVH is the same yesterday, today and forever and no amount of theological gymnastics will ever change His words here which say “always” and “forever.”
